Stress Treatment at Home
For many people stress treatment can be done in the privacy of your own home without medications and without a lot of time. Stress treatment is quickly becoming an expensive market, with literally thousands of product on the market. If you are trying to deal with stress, and want to avoid costly prescription medications, and want to feel better now, here are some tips to get your very own stress treatment plan at home.
Try Stress Meditation
Stress treatment can be as simple as learning some stress treatment techniques through stress meditation. There are many books on meditation, as well as some better made products on the market such as Totally Tranquil. I particularly like this product, through the free demo I got, and found that the audio program was extremely helpful in teaching me stress meditation tips. It was developed with help from the Centerpointe Research institute to help people learn deep meditation and promote emotional wellness.
Aromatherapy
Stress treatment at home can also come from a very passive method called aromatherapy. This is done by utilizing certain scents and smells and triggers the brain to release natural endorphins to release calming chemicals in the brain. One of the fragrances I find the most calming is made by Yankee Candle. It’s called Sage and Citrus Yankee Candle, and can be purchased in many forms.
Exercise
For many stress treatment comes in the form of exercise. Exercising to reduce stress is caused by the body’s release of the same endorphins that many of the other techniques do, but they also increase the body’s ability to manage stress. If you don’t want to do high impact cardio, you can try other types of exercise, such as Yoga for Stress Relief (With The Dalai Lama).
Read a Book
Another good way to have some at home stress treatment is to take some time out and read a book. It has been proven that reading as opposed to watching TV relieves stress as the brain is much more active while reading a book. The brainwaves refocus the brain and trigger the imagination to visualize the information being read. A good one that can also help you de-stress is Don’t Sweat the Small Stuff.
There are many other stress treatment ideas that you can do at home to reduce your stress and increase your feeling of well being. I will cover more in a later post. Come back for more online stress relief tips.
