Stress Relief Tips in Today’s World

November 17, 2008 by Stress Relief · 1 Comment
Filed under: Stress Relief Tips

Stress can have serious impacts on the body. Good Stress relief tips are essential to understanding both the good and bad aspects.  Some are positive, and are built in mechanisms to enhance the bodies’ inner workings. Too much of bad stress actually damages the body and can lead to stress related illnesses.. Because the body responds to stress physically, bad stress causes the “fight or flight” reaction. The body chemistry reacts and, prepares to either confront the challenge or flee from it. Stress increases the heart rate, breathing, and the amount of adrenaline in the blood.  Prolonged exposure to the heightened physical sense has a negative impact on the mental status of our minds. Low self-esteem, fear of failure, lack of concentration, worry and forgetfulness will develop. Stress also lowers our ability to manage our behavior, and overall feelings.

According to the Centers for Disease Control, 80% of health care costs in the US is spent on stress related disorders. Heart disease, high blood pressure, asthma, and insomnia are all related to stress disorders.  Finding stress relief tips that work are essential to manage your stress, and protect your health.

Major life events or changes are the greatest reasons of stress in most people. These events place the highest demands on resources for coping. On most life stress evaluation tools, the top ten stressors in life are

-Death of a spouse

-Divorce

-Death of a Close Family Member

-Personal Injury or Illness

-Marriage

-Birth of a child

I have dedicated this blog to helping folks find stress relief tips that work and will help them overcome their stress, and live better lives.
